Halo Wars 2 - Audio Implementation
Initially joining as an Audio QA, I worked on the Halo Wars 2 console team (previously the Alien: Isolation team) in an audio integration/implementation capacity for sixteen months. During this period, I gained experience in audio development in most areas of our game – such as weapons, environments, dialogue, foley, reverb systems, abilities, vehicles, UI, and VFX.
Working in close collaboration with sound designers and programmers - this has included implementation of assets into the game, balancing and optimization of audio systems (e.g. engine models, priority systems, limiting tech, sound bank budgets). My time on this project has given me a strong understanding of Wwise and audio implementation techniques generally, as well as giving insights into what makes an excellent audio experience in games.
